Lower Saxony Centre for Climate Research

Welcome to the Lower Saxony Centre for Climate Research (Zentrum Klimaforschung Niedersachsen, or ZKfN for short). It is a place where researchers and stakeholders from civil society, politics and the economy join forces in topic-specific Climate Future Labs to conduct research on the challenges and impacts of climate change. Our goal is to shape a just climate future for all of us in Lower Saxony and to facilitate dialogue amongst a wide variety of climate stakeholders between the North Sea and the Harz Mountains.

Through networks that span locations and disciplines, we strive to develop approaches and solutions for a just climate future and engage in broad and application-oriented exchanges of knowledge. We invite you to browse our website, familiarise yourself with our work and get in touch with us. Become a part of our network and help us shape our climate’s future!

Opening event for the new office space

Since October, the ZKfN office has been operating in a new office space under the same roof as the TU Braunschweig's Digitalisation and Sustainability Unit.

On this occasion, we, together with the Digitalisation and Sustainability Unit, cordially invite all interested parties to the inauguration ceremony in the new premises. The event offers the opportunity to get to know the teams of both units over coffee and pre-Christmas biscuits and to gain insights into current projects.

Date: 4 December 2024
Time: 1:00 - 3:00 p.m. 1:15 p.m. Welcome address by Manfred Krafczyk, Vice President for Digitalisation and Sustainability at TU Braunschweig
Location: Pockelsstraße 7

We look forward to seeing you and to stimulating discussions!
