Climate Acupuncture at Campus North: A quiz picnic on urban heat

On 16 September at 5.30 pm, the OpenPlanning team from the Klima.Zukunftslabor OpenCultures is hosting a picnic at the Schilfgarten. The prototype of a climate garden was developed as part of the real-world laboratory and has been the subject of research at the Klima.Zukunftslabor since April 2026. As a targeted, immediate measure, it demonstrates in a practical way how effective climate adaptation in urban areas can be achieved through nature-based open-space design and cooling elements. As part of Climate Adaptation Week, the garden will be presented by researchers from the project. Over snacks and cold drinks, there will also be quizzes and discussions on various topics relating to climate adaptation. The event is open to anyone interested.
