The city of Braunschweig will host Lower Saxony Day from June 12 to 14, 2026. This state festival brings together stakeholders from the worlds of culture, society, business, and science, and showcases Lower Saxony’s diversity through various themed areas.

The Lower Saxony Climate Research Center (ZKfN) will be represented in the tent of the Lower Saxony Ministry of Science and Culture (MWK). There, the ZKfN will present itself alongside its laboratories and provide insights into current research on climate protection and climate adaptation.

A varied program is planned: The participating laboratories will take turns introducing themselves and demonstrating how interdisciplinary and transdisciplinary climate research is being implemented in Lower Saxony. The exact times of the individual presentations will be announced in advance.

The booth is designed to be interactive and invites visitors to actively engage with questions surrounding climate change, adaptation strategies, and sustainable development.

Opening hours of the themed areas:

Friday, June 12, 2026, 16:00–20:00 Saturday, June 13, 2026, 10:00-20:00 Sunday, June 14, 2026, 11:00–18:00
